Many SharePoint sites are filled with endless subfolders when people haven’t been trained on the benefits of metadata. This makes it hard to know how many items in the library are subfolders and how many are actual documents when subfolders are excessive.
To make your life easier so you know if there are actually documents in those libraries without you having to click into every subfolder first, add the number of subfolders to the description, (because you have been putting descriptions in religiously anyway hey….#DescriptionPolice). Then you can see if the item count matches the subfolder count and save yourself some time.
