SharePoint Business Workshops (SBW) registration has opened for the 9 July 2013 Community Night event :

Johannesburg – Intranets Showcase – come and see Internet Solutions, AEL, the Aveng Group, BCX and Afgri’s intranets and hear about their pains and successes.  This is a joint session with IW.  Register online.

Cape Town –  Implementing a Services Catalogue – Lisa Toms from Shoprite tells us how they created an online Services Catalogue using OOB SharePoint functionality. Frustrated by the manual and time consuming processes departments were implementing to request and approve various services, they took on the challenge of providing them with an online Services Catalogue.  Providing Business users with a central location to include their services and approval processes and a central location for employees to request multiple services and allowing SharePoint workflows to then take it from there. Register online.

It’s all free so see you there.  Don’t forget to bring business cards and come network over drinks and snacks after the sessions.  Why not bring a friend and help grow the SharePoint community.

If you know any technical people in the SharePoint space, don’t forget to refer them to Information Worker.  Their events also take place on Community Night in the same time slots.
