Finally! SharePoint Online has caught to what we have been able to do since SharePoint 2007 till they took it away from us in SharePoint 2013… Colour code a column with no code! Woohoo! And in the nick of time considering this morning’s announcement. Some good news for a change.

To do this in modern, add a column, then click the dropdown on the column > Column Settings > Format This Column.

Then click on Edit Template.

The choose the colour you want and Apply! Done! 🙂
