Wanted : SharePoint 2010 Site Themes

They are impossible to find … All we are looking for is standard team site themes that can be uploaded to the Theme Gallery.  Can anyone help us?

We do not want custom master pages, we do not want any special branding on the out of box look and feel – all we want it better colours than what comes with SharePoint by default.  We will pay for them.

Please help – we have searched for weeks with no joy.

  1. Hi Angela, it’s not actually that unrelated – but it is seriously complicated. I can’t figure out one field from another. I want to be able to type in two colours, orange and black. I have no idea what any of the fields mean on the site. It would be so much more re-usable to a much wider audience if the explanations were there. It’s pure Greek to me. 🙂 The colour theme profiles for example – analgous wide? Whaaat? Triadic? Huuuuuh? 🙂 No idea hey. 🙂

  2. You may want to correspond with these people: http://www.sharepointpackages.com. It doesn’t sound like their prepackaged themes are what you are looking for but they do have THMX files as part of their themes that I would bet they would sell you separately. They also have a design your own theme option. Again, probably not exactly what you are looking for, but you could probably just contact them and they would design what you want.

  3. That would be great Charlotte – orange of course!! 🙂 But I’m also open to other colours, it’s just the intranet and I’d like a variety. Green, maroon, some blues, whatever hey. I just don’t have the time to do it myself.

  4. Hi,

Basic themes are located here c:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\TEMPLATE\GLOBAL\Lists\themes\ on every frontend webserver. I advice you not to mess with the file structure. Instead create your own theme in PowerPoint and upload it to the themes gallery.

    Hope this helps.

  5. You can apply a PowerPoint theme to SharePoint 2010 – open PowerPoint, create or select your theme, then file –> Save As type “Office Theme”

Upload the theme into your SharePoint 2010 style library/gallery, then check in, publish etc, then apply it to your site.
