Does this pop up menu irritate you in your lists when you click Add New Item? Especially because you can’t send the link for people to fill in a form. You would need to edit the link and replace allitems.asp with newform.aspx first.
It’s super easy to deactivate that. Click on List on the ribbon, List Settings and Advanced Settings. Right at the bottom is Dialogs – simply change that setting to No.
Then when you click Add New Item again in your list – voila! Now it’s easy to send out the link and ask people to fill in your form.

You can just unsubscribe via the mail it sends you. I don’t see an option to do it manually from WordPress unfortunately.

After I originally left a comment I seem to have clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and from now on
whenever a comment is added I receive 4 emails with the same comment.
Perhaps there is a way you can remove me from that service?

btw another way to get the url of the dialog (or any Web page in general) is to right click on it and select “Properties”. This is useful when you don’t have direct control on the page or site.

+1 to Rene’s comment. This is a handy tip, but site owners should not fall into the trap of making their lives easier at the expense of other contributors. Modal dialogs keep the users in context, this makes a lot of sense in daily [SharePoint] life.

If one simply wants to get the link and still wants to keep the popup, a right click on “Add new item” and Open in New Tab can also help to get the URL
